The writer Saleh Al -Qarni believes that in the hands of the table of the Professional Literature Association in its new session several files, and writers look at the association as a solution, or work on an actual strategy to solve many of the dilemmas and problems facing them.

Al -Qarni emphasized that the actual initiatives expected from the association and consistent with the aspirations require an effective role that provides innovative and sustainable solutions, overcoming the difficulties facing the writer and the intellectual, developing his practices, and diversifying the support mechanisms and initiatives necessary to achieve the purpose of establishing the association.

Al -Qarni said that «there are many hopes and aspirations that are awaited by everyone who has to do with cultural and literary affairs at various levels, whether they are qualitative services or provide attractive opportunities that develop cultural professionalism awareness and practice, and the development of maid mechanisms associated with this professionalism.

The poet Muhammad Al -Wuza, the Literature Association, like other civil society associations, promised directly to the interested members, more than its relationship with the ministries and bodies that granted it the license, for its continuity, not only for its support, stressing that it has to achieve a need and look forward to the beneficiary, and exceed the palaces of the past experience, and not to deal with superiority with the writer, or ignore a spectrum in exchange for another nice reinforcement under the pretext of spatial proximity, for example or any other argument.

Today, the creators are no longer in need of those who print them, as their creativity is printed in their hands in their devices, and is published globally through their accounts and publishers’ accounts. He stressed that the association will implement projects and programs sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, the Literature and Translation Authority, or other sectors, so that it will be an executive body through experiences and skills, so that it will lead in turn and the sponsors funded and thus this is a source of income for the association, and there is documentation of relations in the private sector, the association gives it its system the right to benefit from financial support from institutions or individuals within the Kingdom, and the Business University of Dr. Abdullah Dahlan adopted support for the association’s award, and there Support the Ministry of Culture and the Literature Authority for the projects proposed by the association.

On the fees, Al -Suraihi said: “Membership fees are the condition of the lights under the umbrella of the association, including general membership, and if the applicant has no product, it was drawn by 150 riyals, and it is not authorized to run or to vote, and a complete membership drawn by 500 riyals, and gives its owner the right to run, vote, approve and object to the decisions of the Board of Directors, and hold it accountable.”

On the provision of membership fees, the association’s budget, Al -Suraihi explained that some of the activities are high, especially those that require providing airline tickets, housing, transportation and living, and the reward is proceeds, but it does not reach the rank of support. The head of the Literature Association added: I do not imagine that culture can be a financial source or a rent, and I remember for the former president of (literary Jeddah) Abdel -Fattah Abu Medin, saying, “Culture is a sunset, not a sheep”, pointing out that the true return of culture is to improve awareness, taste, spread knowledge, and enable the writer and the citizen to see a more comprehensive reality, In a more precise anticipation of its future, and believes that “literature is not a commodity or an entertainment material, but its value in its impact on society, and the ambassadors promised real partners,” adding that work in the association is voluntary, not in exchange for it, and a member of the association has no financial reward.

On the headquarters of the ambassadors, he said: “It is difficult to provide a headquarters for every embassy or center. The ambassador has relationships and knowledge of their areas and they can hold events in any village, town or city, at the available and possible location, and that the administration today takes place through phones.”

Al -Suraihi appreciated the completion of the former council headed by Dr. Saleh Ziyad at the level of events, strategies and systems for the administration, adding, “It is a real wealth that we can start, and there are projects that extend from the supplies of fulfillment of their continuation, and there are ambitious initiatives and projects that we hope to implement in implementation.”
